近況 - What I am doing now
Last updated: 2022/09/10
I got my Juris Doctor degree in 2021 from William & Mary Law School. Since November 2021, I have been working full-time at XREX, a neo-fintech startup. At XREX, I support the head of compliance in implementing financial crime compliance programs and assist in corporate governance, managing legal affairs, and mitigating related operational risks.
I believe in the potential impact of Web3 and blockchain technology. While enjoying learning the fast-changing technology and industry, I found the Decentralized Finance course (Fall 2022) is probably the best free resource for non-technical background learners. I'm also taking Entrepreneurship in Web3 and Accelerated Computer Science Fundamentals Specialization. In short, I want to delve into the intersection of finance, technology, and regulatory framework to embrace the Web3 opportunity.
I am also working on my second brain project by using the note-taking software Heptabase, a Taiwanese startup funded by YC. My second brain project is to collect my fleeting ideas and organize my ideas and insights effectively, and eventually boost my productivity. My method for my second brain project is based on Zettelkasten, personal knowledge management rooted in a German sociologist's methodology and recently validated by many empirical studies.
In the remaining 2022, I am going to host my mandarin podcast, 人、法人、法律人 (Person, Legal Person, and Citizen Lawyers), which focuses on human psychology and how our imagination helps human begins to work together (or hate each other), and the legal profession's role in the process. In addition, I am going to create my newsletter, "Jason's Brief," to share my thoughts on humanity, technology, and betterment.
